I don't look at a problem and think, what can we build to fix this? I approach it from a question of "what already exists, and how does it need to evolve?" The principles of traditional finance haven't lost their relevance since blockchain arrived. They probably became even more important. Instead, the market changes, and my approach has always been to take proven models and adapt them to where markets are actually going, rather than treating every new development as if it arrived from nowhere. That's how I think about Protein Capital, too. We are not a departure from traditional finance; we are its evolution.

Adaptability. Not just in the markets, but also in people and institutions. The firms and investors who generate real, lasting value are the ones who don't get attached to any single paradigm. I've watched the financial world go through enormous shifts, from the early days of algorithmic trading, through the emergence of alternative assets, to where we are now with digital assets and blockchain. In every case, it has always been those who are willing to adapt and evolve with the market that thrive, and that’s the capacity I look for in a team, in a partner, and in myself.

Bridging the gap between traditional finance and what's coming next. There are a lot of experienced, sophisticated investors out there who understand markets deeply, but who look at digital assets and see complexity without context, or volatility without a framework. My background spans both worlds. I've spent years in conventional financial markets and years in crypto, and I understand the instinct to stay close to what you know. What I try to do is show that this isn't a leap into the unknown and more of a natural progression. The same analytical rigor, the same discipline, the same long-term thinking that traditional investors know can be applied to the next generation of assets.
