Discipline. Good investing depends on being clear about what you believe, honest about what the data shows, and willing to update your view when the facts change. Across portfolio construction, monitoring, and valuation, the work is about turning information into better decisions.
The connection between growth, execution, and resilience. A company can have a strong market opportunity, but the real question is how well the team builds through complexity, allocates resources, and keeps improving as the business scales.
The messy ones where strategy, numbers, and execution all meet. Portfolio work often requires moving between financial models, market context, founder conversations, and operating realities. I enjoy that intersection because it forces you to stay practical, analytical, and close to the business.
