I consider “international” as a part of my identity. I was born and raised in India and have lived in Indonesia, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Moscow, and now the United Kingdom, so cross-cultural perspectives have always shaped the way I think and work. You learn a lot about the importance of listening to different viewpoints and respecting alternate perspectives when you move around so many countries. It’s a mindset that I take into new partnerships and teams. I look to build solutions that bring diverse perspectives together.

Understanding the bigger picture. The world is a big place, and if you want to build a business for the international stage you have to look beyond your own experience and perspective. I try to surround myself with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and industries, who each bring unique expertise and perspectives to the table.

Building international partnerships can be difficult when cultural or business models don’t always coincide. I’ve led companies in technology, consulting, and strategy, often in markets where cultural differences, regulatory environments, and operational practices vary widely. Those situations can be difficult to navigate, but they’re also where the most interesting opportunities exist.
