Tinker endlessly and have fun. Explore dirt roads before they get paved. Update convictions when the evidence changes. Never forget there's a real person on the other end of a product… at least for now.
Distribution, compounding advantages, and game theory. As the cost of building trends toward zero, defensibility decouples from product. Most zero-marginal-cost software is also zero-marginal-defensibility, and any advantage tied purely to product erodes faster than expected. Value concentrates in whoever owns the feedback loops: systems that embed into workflows, compound with usage, and turn every interaction into a proprietary data advantage that's difficult to replicate. The variables worth fighting for are distribution, workflow ownership, proprietary data loops, and positioning inside the decision chain. The endgame is control over outcomes.
Problems that sit between disciplines where no single framework gives the full picture. People tend to avoid them because they’re ambiguous. No clear owner, no playbook, and the insight hides at the intersection of systems that don’t naturally connect. Poker and portfolio construction. Trial advocacy and founder pitches. Private-market disruption and public-market repricing. The edge comes from cross-pollination and synthesis. Most breakthroughs aren’t new discoveries. They’re pattern transfers. Something standard in one field, applied early in another. AI accelerates this. Drawing insight across domains used to be purely intuitive. Now it's becoming programmable. That's what I'm building at A.GAIN.
